Saw these, tempted as most reviews are pretty decent for them, might be worth it if you are dragging the bike out for summer Thumbs Up

Sports rubber or sports touring?

Sports touring - single compound. Had 2 sets on the SV straight after the other. Lasted a year/12000 miles. I had no problems at all but the road 3s I replaced them are noticeably better but I wouldn't be upset if I had these on for a 3rd time

But at that cost why not!

Hated them.

They weren't confidence inspiring on wet greasy London roads, I also had trouble with grip levels due to my weight.

Pup had no problems with them though. A cracking find! Thumbs Up

Only issue I have with 014 is the excessive wear rate given they felt like they had no real feel or feedback Sad

Totally agree, I badly squared off a rear in a few hundred miles, grip wasn't great unless you got them hot, which was very difficult to do beacause they have little feedback as you say.

I have the same problem with Power 2CTs and struggle to get any heat in them at all at the moment. Others swear by them!

When I had the SVthou an 014 front and 021 rear was perfect. Had no unused edges front and rear and gave superb feedback and grip, hence the avatar. Laughing Tyres are such personal things!

There's also the Maxxis Diamonds @£165 a set, which I've tried and really like too. Plus they last a good while.

I had the Conti's on the Firestorm. Never had a problem with them. Felt grippy in the dry, adequate in the wet.
