Anyone bought/wearing Alpinestars Anaheim trainers?

https://bit.ly/1yV6GP5

I went to J&S but could only find the Joey (no sniggering) trainer, which is £80 whereas the Anaheim is £130ish. J&S could order in but wondered if they are worth the extra cash. The Anaheim is CE marked, the Joey isn't. But is the protection good enough to warrant the difference!! Hmmm. Was going to wear when town riding rather than high speed A road runs.

Bike at J&S - just for the sake of posting a bike picture!

I looked at those but went for these instead:

https://www.bikenation.co.uk/alpinestars-sierra-gore-tex-shoes-black

A bit dearer (haven't looked for best on-line price as I got em cheap where I worked anyway). The Anaheim I like the style of, but the Sierra GTX seemed more substantial, plus goretex for those annoying summer showers (yeah, I know, not really that necessary in summer, but like I say, I got em cheap Smile ). But don't listen to me, cos I'm old and have no sense of style Rolling Eyes Laughing

I saw some like that and decided I didn't want to walk around work or whatever with that style. I am also old and have a different sense of no style!! Laughing

I've got some Alpinestars Fastlane hi-tops. They're adequately protected with padding, armour and a steel insert in the sole and they're comfortable enough to wear for a day at work if it's nice in the morning and I take the bike.

From memory, I paid £57 plus delivery, direct from AS in Italy, through a partnership deal at work. I believe they were £99 in MegaMotorcycleWorld (or whatever George White's, Swindon, is now called) but they only had lumo colours and I wanted black. Retail from AS is about £115.

There's always one.

You have you to be a certain age to even get that gag anyway.

It's funny because I only mentioned Joey Deacon in another thread on here recently.
I am of a certain age, and remember the re enactment of Joey losing his shoe overboard on a boat Very Happy
