Stock or not?

I'm guessing that most of the users on this forum are into sports performance bikes...I was until recently but went from a ZX6R to a 2003 Hornet, best thing I've done since getting into riding.

Anyway, one thing I didn't account for is the massive amount of aftermarket parts available. With the performance bike, I didn't get any further than a loud can and hugger.

So, as the topic says, stock or not, tell me what you got!

So far I've added:

Ermax undertray
LEDs at the back
Arrow indicators in the front
Hugger
Crash bungs
Road race can

On the way:

Renthals
Belly pan

I've got a 03 reg Hornet,
So far i've added,
Colour matched hugger,
Fly screen,
Braded hoses,
Crash bungs,
Fork springs,
end can,
Heated grips,
And a set of renthals.

To come this year is,
A hornet cup belly pan,
Single seat cowel,
Hornet s'steel rad grill (one of pinkys)
Hornet cup rearsets


If i get a job insted of going to uni next winter it will be race preped for the hornet cup next year. That will involve a front cowel, undertray, and a new road bike (prob another hornet.)

I've seen undertrays for ZXR400's (with lights) Don't know if it's worth it though?

Now all I need to do is get a decent exhaust system made up to replace the old Harris unit thats rusting ignominously in the corner and finish yet another rebuild. Sad to see the old girl in bits whenever I go into the garage

If you see this Keith, any suggestions on an uprated clutch to fit an older kwak? The standard unit eats plates and bombs inside 5k of "interesting" riding

First thing first, Hornets absolutely rock mate! Ive considered buying a nearly new 900, and then spending some serious time/ money on it to give it the attitude that it lacks from the factory. I reckon a trick, tuned Hornet9 would look really smart! The new 600 with the usd forks looks really nice too!
Ive kinda decided on my next main bike eventually being either a 2005 Speedtriple, or a Benelli TNT. I like these bikes alot as they have loads of tough attitude as std, and they dont need alot doing to them to make them near perfect for what i want. Of course if Kawasaki have a mad moment and do what i want them to do, i.e. build a Z1200 streetfighter with the 12R engine, then im going to be the first one waving my deposit at the dealers!

As for mods to my bike, they are all in the Garage waiting to be fitted, when i finally get up off my arse and do something?
1, dark tinted std type screen,
2, Akrapovic Titanium can,
3, K&N

5, HEL front brake lines
6, EBC HH pads

the 4 underseats are sweet, i thought about them for the hornet but they cost about £500 and have to be custom made.
The renthals were easy to fit, mine were pre-drilled cus i go tthem second hand. I had a problem with a few screws being over tightened in the switch gear but i got new screws quite easily. Took about 2hrs to removes old and fit the new set.
