Just had a financially nice couple of days. First off, my student possessions insurance paid out for the leather jeans and lid I wrote off a couple weeks back in a little accident. £465, and within one week Surprised. Any of you other student types on here, I'd recommend getting the insurance with Endsleigh, and specifying your bike gear under external cover and for accident damage. Thumbs Up

Also, R&G have agreed to send me free replacement crash bungs etc in exchange for promotional use of the photo's Swaffs and G took Smile

So, we're likely to see you in the bike magazines in the next couple of months sliding down the Brands tarmac on your arse!? Laughing

Queue here for piss taking and caption competition opportunities!

Good of them to do that though. Thumbs Up

This one is the money shot.

Lots of other good one's too showing the damage, that Swaffs took, not sure which one they're going to use. (Can be seen in the photos forum). I'll be impressed if they're used in bike mags, probably more likely to be used in the testimonials section on their website I think.

How did you wangle the r&g one? I can imagine how that phone call went.

Maurice: Hi, I crashed, your product did what I paid for them for. Can I have some new bungs please?
Staff: Hmmm, do you have any photos of the incident?

If you've got the bollocks to do it and it paid off, then good on ya!!

Did they save much damage? I saw an R6 go down the road the bungs were f*cked but saved all but a little bit of fairing damage.

I did it the easy way and emailed them Wink Just asked if I could have a discount for the photos, a week later got a reply saying I could have them for free.

They did seem to limit damage quite a bit, the bike was spinning around on tarmac for ages, I'd have probably holed an engine casing if the bung wasn't there. And I was able to ride it back to the pits as nothing apart from a small piece of fairing broke off.

Well, there's a couple different theories and I'm not totally sure as I didn't see the other guy at all.... but I'm messing around with a guy on an sp1, I passed him on the previous lap, he repasses me into the corner before that straight, then runs a bit wide using rumble strips. I give him a bit of space as he's almost on the grass, then start lining him up for a pass into the next bend as he's lost momentum.

Next thing I know, big bang then my bike is going from underneath me and I get flicked off. It seems the guy on the black bike on the right in the pic (my left), was overtaking the guy behind me then rode into the side of me.
