I Leak Everywhere!!!

Hi All,

I was enjoying a nice ride in to work this morning, when I realise I need to change to reserve, doing so I carried on with it still popping and spluttering. I got to the traffic lights and realise a smell of petrol, lights change so I carry on to work. I get into the carpark and the thing still splutters, so I decided to rev it to see if I could clear it. The longer I was there I could smell stronger petrol fumes. I looked down to see I was stood in a pool of petrol, reving the nuts off me bike. So I soon stopped that and found the leak coming out the overflow. Could of been interesting if I hadn't seen it. Apparently could be a dirty petrol that has blocked something.

Anyway, call the AA, had a really quick response they arrived in 40 mins, thought excellent get it taken to the shop all done. Oh no the bloke can't repair it, although he did have a go, so he phones in for a recovery truck. He had a trailer but wasn't qualified to use it....and the point of him coming to me would be?????.......pointless. Considering I told the AA in the first place it needed to be recovered. 3 hours later, the bike is on it way to the shop.
Just glad I wasn't stood at the side of the road.

Sorry to moan, just thought I would though.

The RAC did that to me a few times, sent a repair man only to be told by the repair man that they aren't authorised to do roadside repairs on bikes!

So I was left for another hour for a recovery truck, the last few times I stated to them to send a recovery truck first off cos I was getting pissed off waiting twice!

Currently with NCI Biker Rescue now, whom send a vehicle that can recover you aswell if they can't repair it.

The van could recover as they have a trailer that builds up, except he'd not been trained on it. Does wind me up, as like you I always tell them. Plus most AA and recover places haven't a clue and guess what they're doing, I prefer them to take it to where I know.
