A long long time ago on a road far far away, I was taken out by an idiot lane twitching whilst filtering slowly between grid locked traffic. Bit of damage to bike, bust a rip and had a couple of bruises, but overall not super bad. Fast forward 18 months, personal injury claim gone in, been waiting for a court date, but just heard I will get a 'disposal hearing' in August to decide damages, no need to attend.
So, what's the deal here?
Does this mean liability has been assigned? Or will that still happen in this hearing? Or will the hearing just be to decided a sum of moneys?
Anyone ended up down this route before? ____________________ Beginner Biker Adventures Blog

Says who?
My understanding is that it's traditionally been a case of both sides' parasites handing paper to the judge and saying "more" / "less", but the guilty party's parasite could challenge you to strip your sleeve and show your scars, so to speak.
Probably all right, but they are contesting the amount so I wouldn't rule out shenanigans. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
