So, what do I expect now?

It broke down, I hid it in a bush, they found it, I've just checked all my papers and it wasn't taxed.

It's not on a SORN, it is insured, it had a valid MOT.

I'm sure you'll get fined, but it's going to cost you a lot more since they've lifted the actual vehicle. Still, it's better than getting caught whilst SORN.

What to expect? A bill for recovery and storage I'd have thought. Laughing

Genuinely thought I'd taxed it when I MOT'd it, I was sure I'd set it up on direct debit as I haddn't planned to keep the bike long.

I walked in the direction of that camera with no lid on after it died, as well as working on it at the side of the road. I then went into three different petrol stations, so I'm on camera there too - There's no way of bullshitting my way out of this. Laughing

Since 11 last night. It broke down, I walked ten miles to the nearest place that had a phone, Maidstone hospital. Only found out that my bike was being towed because a rep mentioned he'd seen traffic plod mucking about with a silver bike near Oakdene!

Quite quite gash. Sad However, dem cameras aren't great quality.

I still feel utter disgust for the cunts who wheeled my bike away but even more so the faggots that collected it from <0.2 miles from my house and took it 18 miles away knowing I couldn't ride that back Evil or Very Mad

Edited before kittens are slaughtered.

Let them have the bike, probably break down on the way back from the impound any way Wink

Your bike will be held for ransom.

When you get it back, you'll also have to pay for any damage that the criminals recovery company have inevitably done when stealing recovering your bike.

Is this the RF? If so is it even worth paying out for? If the fines will be more than the bike value can you just let them crush it and be done with it?

This is just an elaborate ruse to get out of the Eurojolly isn't it?

The pure terror that BCF karting seems to be inflicting on people is actually quite worrying. We have one person setting fire to his bike to get out of it. We have someone else ditching his bike on the side of a dual carriageway. And perhaps most shockingly of all, we have another member actually smashing up his Street Triple and then reporting it as stolen months in advance to get out of it (although this approach appears to have been ineffective).

I think the question we should all be asking ourselves is: "Should I be scared too?" Pale

EDIT: In other, completely unrelated news, both the Pan and Speed Four have just spontaneously combusted.

Dude, were you an Austrian chap in the 1940's with a penchant for group showers who died, came back as a priest who worked closely with alter boys in the 1960's who died and came back as a 1970's radio DJ who died and came back as you?!?
Because you must racked up some serious bad juju to get bitch slapped by karma so hard / often.

Maybe you'll get luc......no chance.

I left a car on my road with no tax, no insurance, and no MOT. Yeah, I know, not big not clever and many kittens were maimed by it in 3 or 4 weeks it sat there unusued and not moving.

I recieved an £80 "fine" from the DVLA and was invited to pay a £160 surety which would be returned when it was taxed (within 10 days, I think)... I think it was £100 for recovery and £50 a day storage that needed to be paid.

I told them to keep the damned thing it was knackered anyway.

So, although its an absolute git its prob not going to be toooooooooooooooo bad if you pick it up ASAP

In what way did it break down?

If you can't afford the storage and recovery, I'll take it for that amount.
