Right then, by the end of Feb I hope to have my scooter back together ready for the first round of Straightliners in March. I havent used it since October now so its gonna be an arse to start! But aside from that just want to check what needs doing.

Arrow Just got a new battery, so old ones getting chucked.
Arrow Will be draining and chucking the bit of petrol that is in the tank and replcang with new stuff.
Arrow Gearbox oil is about 8 months old so is getting changed.
Arrow Having brakes bled, new calipers, pads and discs fitted. Brakes haven't been bled/fluid replaced for 12 months now and pads/discs/calipers are in need of replacing.
Arrow Clean air filter
Arrow New plug

What else have i forgotten?

Cheers

Dave

Hi

Adjust the clutch and oil the chain Laughing .

Seriously I assume it has some kind of belt drive to the rear wheel. I would be tempted to check this for wear / damage if it has been somewhat tuned.

All the best

Keith

Good point about the tyres, will pump them up as I always overlook them! Tyres have done a few hundred miles tops as has the belt and rollers as I have hardly used it on the road since its last re-build.

You can race any bikes at the straightliners rounds. I wouldn't expect an amazing time from a speedfight but its always cool to do it once and see what real terminal speed you can get compared to what your speedo tells you!
