I leave all the tech behind and enjoy riding. I keep one of those waterproof maps under the seat and come in handy some days otherwise I just ride and learn my way around.

How does that help if you actually have to be somewhere? Not everyone rides just for fun. Exploring by riding is fine, and fun - but it's not always possible.
