well i got my application through today and have already filled it out. i might be starting a new job on monday working as a carpentor, but i would drop that job in a second if i got offered a place with honda. idealy i would work up to a race team, hell i would make tea for a year if it meant i would learn something after that and get to be part of the behind-the-scenes team, and i cant make tea!!

Good luck, I know someone who's an apprentice for Honda.. just be warned that you get really shite money! He's on £2.50 an hour or something IIRC!

i dont care about the money, cause it will lead to good qualifications and stuff, and im sure there is a minimum pay for a 20 yr old, a bit better than £2.50.

fraid not, I'm 99% sure that minimum wage does not apply to those on an apprenticeship due to training costs and the qualifications it leads to.

Mate I know is 20 or 21 I think... not sure what he's on now, but I know he started at £2.50

I start an apprenticeship in September, I will be 20 and only going to get about £3 an hour Crying or Very sad

but like you say, leads to better money, qualifications, prospects etc... so it's worth it in the end.

Apprentiships are shite cash, but it's al about learning, just like university but you get payed, might not be much but at least you do get payed, instead of having to pay to do it !!

and in the end, you got the qualifications, possibility of getting to a race team, possible staff discount(hrc kitted nc30) and your doin a job that you love.
i dont see any down sides at all, the money is just a temp thing.

Good luck matey. But be aware that honda recieves 1000's of applications for their modern apprenticeship every time they release a vacancy on their web site Thumbs Up

I actually was selected but I realised the wage was cack. Even for learning its shit Thumbs Up
