how much to fix??

im going to look at a cbr400 this week, now it has had a minor accident were he came off at low speed. so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how much it would cost to fix.

looks pretty minor, if your prepared to take your time, ebay will be your friend

i wouldnt bother fixin it anyother way, would be pricy

All very minor things. the first pic would need to be plastic welded, sanded and sprayed. provided the colour can be matched then it wouldn't be too expensive.

The second pic might require sanding, spraying and new graphics. In which case cleaning it and polishing it is probably your best bet.

The last pic just needs sanding and spraying.

And you can buy kevlar/carbon fibre engine casings for CBR400's!

Nothing really needs fixing. Would need closer inspection to know for sure though.

Does the RHS casing leak oil? I had a slip in the winter and the inspection/ engine turning over hole (the silver alloy circle in the middle of the case) started leaking. Cost about £10. As for the actual casing, if it's not leaking it'll be ok. Mine has scratches like that on both sides, fine.

About 35-40 for a 2nd hand RHS casing if it is fuubared. Plus another £10 for the gasket. And about 2 hours scraping off the old one.

Plastics don't look bad at all, bit of glue/paint and they will be looking smart again.

On the above website’s forum there is a guy called Graeme France, he's prepares track 400s and has a lot of bikes around. He does 2nd hand parts the cheapest I have found.

the fairing doesn't look too bad. i'd leave it and maybe just get an engine casing off ebay !!!

how much are they asking for it anyway??
