rieju mrx 50 HELP

i have brought a rieju mrx 50 with only 500 miles on the clock. i am not sure if it has been dereistricted can i find out myself? and does anyone know what kina of speed they do? it is an enduro bike so i would like to take it off road. as i have just turned 16 i carnt take the bike out untill i pass my cbt. also is there any little restrictons that i could take out myself? help appreciated thanks

Well if its restricted, It wont do any more than 30mph. Take it up and down the street and see if you can hit over 30? Idea

Iv got a MRX 50 and it does about 48mph tops on a normal flat road, this is derestricted with no mods. I think there are a few different restrictions on the bike, including one in the exhaust. I took my bike to a dealer to get it derestricted, which cost about £80. If its restricted it will have no power and wont be able to go any faster than 30mph.

is there any cheep mods that i could do toi make it faster at topend? because most of my mates are doin about 60 on theres.

I would be very surprised if they are getting 60 out of a 50cc trail bike, unless they have spent loads on mods. No mods are going to be cheap, you could get a after market pipe and silencer for about £150 which may give you a little better top end. There really isn't much point doing mods to it as you will probably sell it once you are 17, save your money.

I took out the restricter on the exhaust I just drilled it out and I put a new jet in the carb but still only goes 40 , people have been saying they can get 71 out of there's on the internet so I'm in need of a little help to get there

Presumably you've re-registered it as a motorcycle with the DVLA,

Your not going to be hitting 71mph, my speedo on my Derbi senda reads 63mph when im doing 55 actuall, thats with a Malossi exhaust and correct jetting

okay so whatever the top speed is does anyone know where all the restrictors are? and also does anyone know how to reset the speedo or what are the orginal numbers? as my freind was messing around with mine and now it says im doing 180 when im doing 40 and it changes to what numbers i put in?

It probably doesn't have any 'restrictors', it's a bicycle with a tiny gutless engine, it's designed to only have a top speed of 28mph.
If you really want to ride without a licence or insurance then why not get a 125 and ride that illegally instead?
