insurance renewal time

Couple of years ago I smashed the wife's car up a bit and have forgotten the dates - must have remembered at some point to sort last year's renewal of both but both car and bike policies have changed since.

Is there a way of finding out when I bashed the car or can I guess the date and hope for the best?

I work in this sector, if they can't get the exact day we are fine with the month of the year it happened, we would just put the last day of that month.

Check your wife's Facebook history, she no doubt made some comment about you crashing her car at the time.

My favourite bit is when they ask for the value of the claim. Who the hell knows that, considering no insurers I've ever claimed from have wanted to tell me how much the other party is claiming?

It'll be on any old insurance documents you have, and all my recent proof of NCB letters have had a claims section at the bottom.
