best cheapest 125cc cruiser

So I've had my 125 stolen, as some may already know, and as I'm going to have to get another one I figured I'd go for what I originally wanted, something low, slow and sexy.

Anyone got anything they can suggest in the same style of the Keeway superlight? The more it looks like a harley, the better.

I'd check around for a decent Virago 125, or Rebel 125, even a Marauder 125 would be alright.

There's no need to go for a brand new bike from China.

The Honda Shadow is a lovely bike if you like cruisers. Much better than the Chinese rubbish that's out there.

If you have a pocket change budget old pioneers torro/nevadas or Jinlun JL125-11 can be found for a few hundred quid. They would probably need work though.

Had to GZ125 Marauders. Reliable little bikes. Engine is a thereabouts in common with the GN,DR and various other buzzy little suzukis. Makes authentic plink plink noises of contracting metal just like a harley when you switch one off.

The oldest ones with the megaphone exhausts claimed 10hp when new, the ones with the cylindrical exhausts claimed 11.9bhp, or a mighty 12 if you find a very late one with EFI.

They changed 3rd 4th and 5th gear in the 11.9bhp models too, so they werent so monumentally slow.

Get licence. Try some big bikes.

Big licence is a no unfortunately as it would require me to save up a small fortune to get the licence and the bike, and I need a new bike asap. My bike was my only reliable way of getting out of my hometown, and now that I've lost it I can't even look at moving out of town as I'd need a bike to get to work etc.

I'm kinda torn between saving up for an intruder or a YBR. My stolen bike was a Chinese YBR clone and I LOVED it.

So, what you NEED is, Learner-Legal, CHEAP, and available, as soon as.
what you WANT... well, got to take a back seat on this one, really.

So get off this forum; get on e-bay, gum-tree, pre-loved and whatever else you can find small adds for local bikes; get out and about, look in newsagents windows, look in the local free-paper, look in people's front gardens, look round car-parks for bikes that have 'for-sale' signs on them.

And get whatever comes along at the right money that'll do the job....

Sod the style, sod the brand name, worry about getting the wheels under your bum and getting to and from work.

125's don't 'Cruise'... so when this immediate problem is resolved with 'something'.. then start on Plan-B and a bike that'll fullfil your 'wants'.. and if you want a Cruiser, I'd suggest you look at something that can actually 'cruise', and the Viagra 535 is the defacto 'My first Cruiser'.... shaft drive, and good mpg, they are actually pretty decent every-day commuter's too, and not that expensive to run; so maybe make one Plan-C, and make Plan B to get that big-bike licence.

But here and now, you wont get a bike that'll meet all your needs and wants, shooting the breeze with us on here; get out and about, cash in your pocket, pounding shoe leather, to get ANYTHING that'll just do the job.

And as much as I'd love to just buy the first cheap 125 that's local, there aren't any. Locally they're all brand new and over £1000, probably going to end up with a project bike.

I'm another vote for the GZ125. I had my share of bad luck with mine but that was never the bikes fault, usually my fault or thieving scrotes' fault.

mostly reliable, parts were cheap. They do command silly prices this time of year but i paid £670 for mine.

Have found a "Giantco King" about 5 minutes from a friends house "advertised" on gumtree for £350.

Anyone know anything about them? All I can find are the tech specs, no opinions or reviews.

And by clones I mean a chinese copy.

Giantco king whacked in to fleabay shows no parts, CMPO and China parts have nothing for a giantco king.

So if that is what it's really called I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

However the seller may be tard and named it wrong.
