Securing the speedometer on a ybr125.

My last ybr125 had its speedo stolen by some scumbags. I'm getting a new ybr125 delivered this week and would like to know is there any way of securing the speedometer with say tamper proof bolts or is there nothing I can do to deter a thief from stealing it?

The bike will be in a communal carpark for a block of flats in a well light and visible area from my window so anything that will delay a thief would probably be effective at getting them to choose easier targets nearby.

Hmm I'd try bolting the speedo down and using lots of loctite. And get bolts that have a weird head on them. Or melt the fucker on or something. Melt plastic around the bolts to make them inaccessible? Plenty weird things you could try with some creativity Very Happy

Seems like an unusual part to steal... Its normally the entire bike or nothing....

Is it that easy to steal? I mean to unbolt and disconnect it? You'd have to demolish the front end of my bike to remove mine!

That has to be one of the weirdest things I have being heard of being stolen from a bike.
