Hi there,

I have recently purchased a Honda ps125i scooter to use as my daily commuter to and from work.

I am interested in upgrading the standard 125cc engine to a 153cc cylinder head as the cost of the head is only £120 although I am not interested if it will require a professional mechanic to do the job as i am not willing to spend ridiculous money to gain 28cc.

so my question is, What is involved? How do you go abut doing the swap and do you recommend a DIY attempt.

many thanks

Upgrading the cylinder head without the barrel will cause problems. You'd be better off just making sure everything is in good running order and keeping it in stock trim for resale value.
You'd be surprised how much can be gained from a solid service!
Lighter rollers in a scooter will give the best value for money and wont invalidate a learner licence either.

You will make it run like a bag of nails if it runs at all, you will invalidate your insurance. You are better off upgrading your licence.
