Question regarding fork springs. I've just changed seals and measured spring length which both are 385mm. In the service manual it says they should be 415mm free length and wear limit is 406.7mm! So I've lost 30mm in less than 3 years? Bike was first registered in July 2012. It's a Yamaha yzf r125 with a f***** engine remember  I've decided to change engine over. |

Maybe wrong springs of another model? If the engines fckld because of high milage or a bit of off road then this may be the reason.

More than five mills of shims may be over the top.The previous owner may have put the springs in upside down......but.....its old n worn.....like me so you could shim it and play around with fork oil and fork oil levels.
