The winding up of Americans was funny with all those 'lad' replies. However, if that's how you actually speak, you need beheading by ISIS. Top bants!

I've not experienced this until recently, when a few of our newer younger colleagues will say one cheeky pint instead of a quick one before home. It's all a bit strange.

I think the only way as a grown man I'd use the word cheeky would be to try and get free stuff from a woman salesperson.

Cheeky = doesn't count.

Cheeky burger = no calories.
Cheeky lunchtime pint = no intoxication.
Cheeky struggle cuddle = no conviction.

On an unrelated note, I heard that Nandos have announced their first restaurant in the U.S. this week.

As much as I despise that term, I did find myself chuckling at some of those.

I love eating at Nandos, my usual is a whole chicken with rice and chips. I wouldn't say it was particularly
expensive though. I like it because my wife can eat there without breaking away from the eating plan
her personal trainer has put her on, and I don't have to eat the same as her. Whenever I go it seems to be
packed out, but my local one is next to a popular gym so is usually full of big fellas getting their protein fix
after training. Have to say, their prego steak roll isn't much cop though.
So is a cheeky chicken choke a dry wank then?

My other half really likes their salads, too much leafy stuff for my taste but at home I have to eat salad
because married Sad but at least I get to eat meat and potatoes like a proper bloke when I go there.
You have to laugh, if a lot of the people who eat there knew all the chicken served there was slaughtered
in accordance with the Muslim halal tradition they probably wouldn't eat there, there is the small discreet halal
symbol on the door, and a small print mention on the menu. It's kept on the QT for a reason. Personally I couldn't
care less how it's killed, but there are certainly a lot of folk eating there who may well yet are oblivious. Laughing
It's why there's usually a disproportionate amount of Asians eating there even in areas like where I live now where
they are few and far between. I'm an east London lad, I've seen enough halal logos to instantly recognise
what it is/means. It's also the reason certain branches of KFC (Tottenham for one, I used to eat
there daily) won't put the bacon that features in some of their sandwiches in.

I was of the impression that cheeky is the new "sly". i.e, A sly pint, sly cig, sly burger. Which is also an extension of the crafty fag, crafty burger etc.

To my mind the terms sly/crafty/cheeky are for things which are spur of the moment time consuming activities that, if executed effectively, do not interfere with whatever schedule you're on. For example:

"Train leaves in 10minutes"
"Okay, just going for a crafty/sly/cheeky smoke.

It's not as much about not counting, more a case of not causing disruption to the plan of action. Hence on a night out on the lash, where normally a quick burger will be consumed between pubs, a cheeky nandos means you have a sit down meal, yet still get to the bars/clubs with enough time to find a bit of skirt.

Been a few times, never my idea but chicken is chicken.

Still prefer a cheeky KFC over a cheeky Nandos any day. Admittedly the dining experience isn't comparable.

I've only been once and only because I managed to obtain a free chicken voucher.

It's OK but far to expensive for what it is. I wouldn't go out to dinner just to have chicken and rice that I can easily do at home. Would rather go to a nice pub somewhere If I'm paying them prices.

Some people get Nando's take out which seems stupid to me. Go to tesco and buy a cooked chicken and some microwave rice packets and you have the same thing.

However I did have a coffee and they sprinkled choc powder on top in the shape of a chicken which was totally awesome Thumbs Up
