Hey there all biker fans, enthusiasts. My name is Ben, 19 and from South Wales. Always been into anything with two wheels. Started with motocross and recently in these past few months moved onto the road. Started off on a Chinese 125 scooter (never again). Recently bought a Honda Cb125F (2015) absolutely brilliant little runner. Thumbs Up

Thanks guys Smile

Chinese... Wink

And indeed, buying a brand new 125 when you could be doing A2 is something that you may come to look back on with regret. The turn-key depreciation on it would have covered training and test costs.

I've been riding the CB125F for a couple of weeks now and it is a great little runner!

Correction, "You will come to regret", unless you've more money than sense.

Sorry, I don't understand. Why couldn't you have got some road experience on a 5 year old bike?

Doing your A2 also starts the two year countdown until you can do your full A licence as part of the progressive access scheme. You can get licensed to ride any bike as early as 21. Get on it even if you have to stick with the 125 (I'll give it 6 months)

Thanks Ben90! That's exactly what I'll be doing Smile

Well, you've bought the Chinese 125, but the first time you ride an A2 training bike you're going to be all Doh!

You might as well get that over with sooner rather than later.

Or do you imagine that you're safer riding around on a small bike of limited ability, essentially untrained?
