Please, iv always been into sportsbikes but i want to do some decent miles this year and get achey after an hours riding.
Not really looking for something bolt upright and not something im likely to get bored with, also has to look good, cos tart .
Im open to suggestions, should have around 3000 ponds to play with.
All this being said i might possibly ignore all advice given and buy an R1 but it will be appreciated regardless ____________________ aprilia 125 Af1 Futura >> Suzuki gsxr 600 srad >> J1 zx6r >> cbr 600rr >> Speed Triple |

A 949 Blade or K5 ish Gixxer would offer fun and relative comfort.
Street Triple would be comfortable and fun but not a mile muncher
Sprint 1050 or VFR would be more touring-ish but heavy and less fun
F800st or TDM would offer a lot on paper but won't give you the horn.
Basically... The first of those options ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

Probably not what you're looking for, but I'll chuck it out there anyway:

I'd guess you would be doing some mods to anything you buy. So this has a hint of R1 about it, but upright. Of course, bars etc can be changed. Loads of good mods available to make em go/handle better.
This one currently for sale at £3k, 2800 miles, described as near perfect. Location Scotland. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Hmm blade never really thought about one, could be a shout.
Blackbird may be a bit on the big side, its a struggle to manoeuvre a bike from the lane at the side of the house into the garden, could see me taking lump out of the fence with a blackbird ____________________ aprilia 125 Af1 Futura >> Suzuki gsxr 600 srad >> J1 zx6r >> cbr 600rr >> Speed Triple |
