Coming home about an hour ago I came down Old Kent Road and onto New Cross Road where the traffic was backed up. I filtered through the traffic and there was a bus stopped at the lights at Besson St. I thought it was odd that it should be stopped with a clear road in front and as I got passed it I found out why. Across the junction there was a massive bundle going on, six or seven guys going right at it in the middle of the road. People throwing punches and kicks, one swinging a club. Someone got thrown to the floor and was getting smashed up then I heard cop sirens and a bunch of them split. The club ended up on the floor so one guy collected it, ran across the other side of the road and started smashing the crap out of a black car.
Dunno what was the cause of it, road rage/turf wars whatever and it was over in moments but these guys were serious about it. Quite surreal to happen across it on a busy weekday evening.
