Funnily enough, I went from a ST to a Speedmaster (just for one day due to bike service). It was hilarious, but not in a good way.
If you can't have fun on a ST, then bad news, you are probably dead.
In fact, even if I was dead, I'd come back down and haunt the Hinkley factory just to bomb around the b-roads on an ST again.
The only thing I found, is it takes a little time to get the OEM tyres up to temp.
The other thing to be aware of, your Jekyll side will come out. Hooning it becomes an addiction. Even when everything says don't (fuel warning light, it's pissing down with rain, it's dark etc), you will
Have fun Sir!

I suppose it depends on what dealer you are dealing with. My guys in Manchester are a good bunch and appreciate bikes are heavily modified posessions.
My last one had none stock, none Triumph pipes on and I've had multiple visits to them. I do keep my OEM kit as when it comes to sell it is much easier to sell a stock bike rather than a personalised/modified bike.
Hopefully what you said is incorrect |

I'm sure the Street Triple is the modern day Bandit.
They really are hard to fault in terms of smiles per miles though. |

So I picked the bike up yesterday. I've got to say it is a beautiful looking bike. I think the Daytona rear section really sets this bike off. Also the red wheels, and matt silver colour scheme make it look very nice. I had a few admiring glances and quite a few comments on my ride home (via everywhere).
The only issue I'm having is the running in period. This bike is screaming for me to open it up.
The additions over the standard are actually worth the money in my opinion. Suspension setup, rear profile, engine tuning and ofcourse the almighty quickshifter (so much fun) |

I'll definitely look at getting the suspension set up, after only 80 miles on the thing I'm not quite sure what the setup should be yet.
I've not been hammering the bike, but trying to keep this thing under 5000rpm was extremely difficult, hence my questioning. This quickshifter really wants you to belt it but I'm having to refrain. Pity.
Very much fun has been had over 80 miles. One thing that is glaringly obvious to me on this is the handling. It goes round bends like you want it to. I've even had to readjust my line as it has turned in more than I was expecting. |
