£70 leather jacket saved a mans skin

Maybe cheap doesnt always mean turd.
Was browsing leather jackets on Amazon and came across this review:

Jacket looks pretty well fukd but it appears it didnt disintegrate at the seams exposing flesh to road.
Unsure on his claim that it saved his back being broken though. Jackets like that only come with that yellow foam type armour inside.
