they are cheap for a reason ... they blacken the shit of your cook ware and they don`t give out enough heat ... buy a compact bottled gas stove and make your life a lot simpler.

What is it like getting the gas canisters for them? I take the one in my link when taking the car over to mainland Europe and the canisters are more like an deodorant shaped tin but i dont bother when on the bike due to size. Looked at those in your link but dont want to carry spare gas around so can i get them no problem if need be?

I have one of those micro stoves with gas cylinder adaptor, and a wood burning stove i have yet to try.
I had a go with beer can stoves but the smell of meths makes me gag. I cant be the only one? The smell is foul

over here everywhere stocks coleman type screw on / off canisters..
over the water truth is i don`t know ... one of those canisters will heat a lot of food I`ve had one last over a week bein used for all food and washing..and a lot more compact than hexi blocks which you`ll use one every two meals at best... would it be so bad to carry a spare gas canister ..

I've got three of these things and fuel tabs.

They're a back up to my back up. Not sure what to do with them really. Don't want to just throw them away.

I have a gas stove for moto trips. That's what I'll be taking to South America (yes you can get gas in Argentina), and an alcohol stove as a back up.
