Battery packed in?

Hey folks. Hoping you can help me diagnose an issue im having.

So last week I decided in my infinite wisdom to leave my ignition on when i left the bike. Think it sat for about 48 hours, no lights just the key turned in the ignition.

Anywho i got back to the bike (it was in the garage atleast xD) to find the battery completely dead. Decided to jump start it today off of the car. It started absolutely fine. However the moment I disconnect the bike battery from the car battery (after about 2 minutes of the bike idling) the idle will become rough (spluttery) and the bike will not rev (it was throwing petrol out the exhaust). Attempting to open the throttle or turn the lights on caused the bike to stall and it needed to be reconnected to the car battery to rejump it.

So after that happened I decided to leave it running for about 45minutes at idle with the choke off (it had warmed up enough) disconnected from any external power. The engine was obviously stuttering but it kept going but when I attempted to open the throttle again it stalled. Also there is no audible click of the starter relay so it must be recieving pretty much 0 power.

My conclusion is that the battery is gone and the engine was attempting to run on only alternator power with a screwed battery sucking up the rest. So... anyone else agree with this or could it be something else?

PS: Car is usually a normal old 12v system, no modern fancy upvolting alternator shenanigans. So i doubt it was that which fried the battery.

Get a bike battery charger. Running your bike at idle is not going to charge the battery you would need to take it for a ride and get the revs up. I would try and get a charger quickly like tomorrow if you can as it's not good for the battery to be left flat for too long.

Ordered myself a 12v battery trickle charger. Never actually realised the battery wouldnt charge on idle tick over on a bike. However im unable to take it out for a ride since the engine is unable to rev without an external electricity source .

Hopefully ive not fucked it. Its been completely flat for about a week.

If it's been flat for a week it might be fooked.

A battery that have been fully discharge like this is gone, you will never be able to charge it fully up again due to the cells are damaged. And never let a engine idle for 45min!
