Some say yes and some say no. I have done it in the past but that was on my 125 days. Would getting it fixed not cost around the same anyway?

Yes. I'm running tubeless avons with tubes inside on spoked wheels. Less shit than the tube type conti milestones i had previously. I think most of the premium brand options for my bike are tubeless.

Tyre new very small leak around rim no cracks dents around rim

Go back to tyre fitter place.
Get the tyre pulled off
Go round rim with wire brush
Refit tyre.

Can he not break the bead and do that himself? Im sure Tesco or the like air hose would be strong enough to pop it all back together.
