They've actually made it worse.

Why not just whack a NFC chip in the photo card that has all your info on it? Then at the rental place you just touch it on a contactless reader, job done in less than a second.

Printing off a PDF? getting a code that expires in 72 hours? Your National Insurance number required to rent a van? FFS! Rolling Eyes

b) likelihood of being raped

On topic - considering the amount of people who are still unaware of changes to the tax-disc system I imagine it'll probably be a good few years before most drivers are aware that their counterparts have been consigned to the annuls of history (By which time DVLA may have fixed a few of their website gremlins, but don't count on it)

Got in, they've still stolen 2 years bike entitlement from me and there's nothing (that I can see) about previous entitlement. This from the people who assured me that they were unaware of any issues with their recording of bike entitlement.

On the bright side, we now - de facto - only have to tell insurers about points showing online, even if they ask about anything in the past 4, 5 or 20 years.

I like how the "Share your licence information" is still in beta. Rolling Eyes

The DVLA already 'lost' 3 years of my motorbike entitlement when I moved house some years back. Not to worry as the DVLA told me that they never make errors. The website is derped and I can't get on to have a look. Thumbs Down
