I was in North Wales for the 2nd time yesterday. I quite like this stretch of the road.. it feels special.

Yeah it is, but to be fair it's not the only road with nice views in Wales. There are so many others. I've seen some but I know there are more. Next time I go to North Wales I would like to stay for one or two nights and explore it properly. Some roads are for views like Llanberis Pass and some are for pure joy if being on a motorcycle. I'm still to see a road in North Wales that I don't like Wink

Back in Northampton everything is flat, straight, boring.

Pen-y-pass is more fun on a pushbike. Climb up from Beddgelert to earn the downhill. The road switch back on the last bit of the climb so you can see down into the valley just how much height you've gained. Roll past the youth hostel, then head down, arse in the air and go for it, overtaking the cars on the way down.

to be fair tho, that road isnt that flowing for decent riding. Just the views!

Not the first time I did that.

Last time I was in North Wales 2 years ago and I did 530 miles on ZX6R in one day.
At the time I didn't know the area at all so I went also to Holyhead as well. Waste of time.

So this time it was only as far to the west as Llanberis. I think I did about 420-450 miles yesterday, maybe a bit more, because on the way back to Northampton I wanted to avoid motorways so I took Bala-Shewsbury-Kidderminster-Redditch-Warwick- Northampton route.
