Welsh flag tank protector, top box and chrome engine bars. No longer has the touring screen in the photo.
So I've told the police, what's the score with the insurance? It's TPO and was only renewed two days ago. Cancel without telling them why? What if it turns up?
HAYLP PLS!

Hmm.... with your insurance, is there any grace period in which you can cancel it without incurring any fees? If so, cancel it now as you won't be penalised. If you are not protected in that manner, I'd be inclined to leave it until you're convinced the bike won't be recovered. After all, it's an old XJ that's barely worth a grand so it won't be on foreign shores - chances are it'll be ragged then dumped somewhere. I'd probably give it 2-3 weeks myself.
Sorry for your loss dude. Hope it is found. |

Hope you get it back, that sort of bike I imagine thieves will just be using around a field or it will be at least close, not likely to be shipped abroad/broken for spares.
Insurance wise, you have a 14 day cooling off period so you can cancel ...give them a call. ____________________ Rides: Honda XR 125 ('03) Honda CBR 600F ('91), Ducati 916 Biposto ('95) |

I'd cancel.
"No longer have the bike" is completely true, if not the complete truth.
You can't be charged a cancellation fee, but you can be charged the cost of setting up the policy, which they will say (with a straight face) is anywhere from £25 to £50, plus a pro-rata amount for the cover used. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
