Probably just vents for the float chamber, if you take the chamber off
you should be able to work out if that's the case.

hi,
these are definitely overflows/breathers & it IS odd that they are pointing upwards.
they shouldnt be.
therefore i'd be suspicious as to why they are pointing upwards.
try aiming them downwards & see if fuel pi$$es out,

Hi,
nothing that fancy on this carb, seen lots with the hoses pulled off.
I guess, as long as the wee nipples (Smile) arnt blocked everything should be ok.
I always look at the nipples & if the are grey/alloy they are usually breathers.
brass & they are usually fuel or oil hoses
