When I first started reading the posts on this forum, I noticed a lot of criticism towards Audi drivers, and up until a week ago I didn't notice any particular make of car trying to unseat me. But in the past week I've had one deliberately pull out on me while I was filtering, another one took a corner to fast and nearly wiped me out while I was waiting to turn right, (it was a one way street), and finally, while I was on my test last friday I was going from a 50 to a 30 limit, so I did a check before changing speed, and there behind me was a f**king Audi, who proceeded to follow up my arse all the way through the 30 limit.
So what is it, with all these Audi drivers?

They are either overpaid pompous twats who think it's entirely their road so how dare anyone else be there

or they are poverty trash, running an old luxury car they can't afford to maintain but makes them think they are better than anyone else.

You can apply the same sweeping, possibly inaccurate, generalisations to the fancy car brand of your choice.

Personally I hate anyone in a Honda Jazz.... do they have a max design speed of 39MPH?

Controversial, one side of the story, paint diagram and explanation would be needed to make that anything other than your opinion.

What is it cagers in general?

I come across at least one idiot a day and play the "I wonder whom he payed £10 to get a dodgy piece of paperwork from" game all the time.

I don't generalise against anyone really. Idiots everywhere on my daily commute.

That's a lie.

Any sign of a toyota aygo / citroen c1 / old battered micra / yaris / 107 / any other ecotec wank box I immediately avoid or overtake and never bother to let them out. Thumbs Up

Audi and BMW drivers both - and it's not like they're even special! Their cars, unless they're the top models like the i8 or the r8, are massively overpriced just for the badge!

A friend was provided with a courtesy car. BMW, something like 20 - 30 grand new. It was a bloody 1.6, no turbos, shitty plastic interior... and they tend to be driven by wankers who think they have something to prove to the world.

I'm paid pretty well, and I won't buy an Audi or a BMW even when I have enough ££ to buy a brand new 30k+ car. Get a 370z or something Smile

Just don't be one of those people if you end up doing well for yourself in the future.

Think its the fact that the two german manufacturer's you mention are in vogue for rich obnoxious muppets at the moment and so you notice their extreme twatishness more than you noticed the 30 year old in the blue A3 who moved across to let you filter as her husband is a biker and she keeps an eye out - of course you gave a thumbs up as you passed but didn't spot the Audi/ BMW badge...

Any twat with £400 in their pocket and a job can walk into a dealership and drive out with an Audi or BMW nowadays, the majority of nice cars you see on the motorways are borrowed.

If someone wants to make a statement so much they're willing to spunk up to 50% of their net income on a car they'll never own, feeling butthurt towards bikers because they get everywhere 100x faster, cheaper and cooler would come naturally.

SO true. I'm fairly sure they only have two forward gears.

It's no more relevant than that insane kitten killing biker on some Japanese sports bike 125 that came rushing up the inside in traffic today doing 29 mph.

I drove a BMW for 80,000 miles. Number of casualties - none. Number of indicator bulbs used - many.

One swallow doesn't make a summer.

If you don't want to be categorised with cunt bikers like smiler who middle lane hog like a boss, just cos you ride a motorcycle, then don't be prepared to categorise someone else for their choice in vehicle -chances are the ones that the ones you optics are the. 1 in 3 billion that get your attention for all the wrong reasons.

In short - it's bollocks

Out in our rural commuter village it's the dozy bitches dropping off the runts in BMW X5s, Porsche Cayennes and any other Chelsea tractor you care to mention that I despise. Silly cunts will all but run you off the road to get Quentin and Tarquin to pre-school club on time.

And once the little dahlings are foisted onto the paid help and scummy mummy is on her way to fucking pilates class you best steer clear because the bitch aint looking at anything but her phone to make sure her diary appointments aren't cross booked. Heaven forbid her brunch date should clash with her OBGYN booking to sort out the raging dose of thunderclap spreading from her sour minge.

Grr.

Is the 318 still using that ancient 8 valve motor?

The last vehicle that clearly had a problem with me and tried to run me off 'His' road was BMW related, a Mini Paceman, I was almost enjoying watching his driving after letting him pass*. I was expecting to see a real life crash test Laughing

*I didn't get much choice to be honest, he was doing 'banning speed' in a 30 Rolling Eyes

When we met traffic he honked and shouted as I filtered past Karma

Rather amusingly I was filtering past a line of traffic at the weekend and passed an Audi, then was rather surprised to see the Audi in my mirrors as he thought he would filter along behind me, making oncoming traffic have to practically mount the pavement.

Rather strangely it didn't amuse the police man who emerged from a side road and came face to face with said Audi driver. Last I saw in my mirror was the policeman getting off his bike to have a little chat.

Most satisfying, enhanced my day no end. Very Happy

I try not to tar everyone with the same brush and there are always exceptions (please God, there MUST be because I occasionally drive a Jazz Wink), but my current pet hate is Nissan Juke drivers.

It’s like a few Micra drivers came into some money and upgraded the car while retaining their utter lack of care or skills. Every time I see a Juke the driver does something cock-worthy…

…except one. I did take note of one Juke the other day that was actually driven without fuck ups…

…but yeah, all the rest. [/sweeping generalisation]
