I need a 32Gig Micro SD card. PC wold do one for £16 but I can get one online for £5. Obviously both are a rip off, PC world will be overpriced although £0.50 a Gig seems ok and the online one will be clocked up from a 4 Gig stick. Advice please.

Whats it for?

Is 32Gb the maximum supported?

There are different classes (speeds) of sd card 10 being the fastest, also faster = more expensive.

Also watch out for fakes if you're buying off ebay.

Heres a class 10 32Gb from ebuyer for a tenner

Edit i missed the micro bit

This one is micro https://m.ebuyer.com/340160

Not all class 10 are equal either, look for UHS-1 and 40mbs or faster write times for HD/UHD video and ever larger photo sizes.
I have 3 or 4 Toshiba ones from ebay have been good under £10.

Tend to steer away from sandisk - as the 'best' name they are most likely to be faked.

I bought the 128GB Samsung Evo card. It arrived, packaging was almost spot on and the card worked. But it was a fake.

Whatever you buy, install/run something like SD Insight and A1 SD Bench. Make sure you get what you paid for.

What class? I'd only buy from 7dayshop https://www.7dayshop.com/32gb-microsd-cards because they're excellent and cheap.

Those PEBKAC errors are probably because the card is formatted to FAT32 not exFAT or NTFS**

Yes. It is.

If Badger goes into a shop and pays £16 for 32 apples. How much did he pay for each apple?

Now wind your neck in.

I have been using samsung class 10 cards recently (there were a couple on the clearance shelf at maplins, £3 per 8Gb card). One thing I noticed was the file transfer speed was much better than the sandisc equivalent.
