Just before the perp stacks it, it looks like the pillion fires some shots at the policeman. Live by the sword...

Edit - maybe he just threw something (no audio on this computer). Harsh result if so.

Callous execution.

Police report will show they were both carrying .38's.

Not unusual for .38's to be carried as 'evidence' in cop vehicles in some countries.

0:18, looks like a big white helmet?

Then looks like there's a struggle, rider looks away, locks up the rear and goes of the road.

Then shot point blank.

Video paints a very one sided picture, depends what the crime committed was and what was done during the chase, i'm not convinced that bike being stolen was the only crime.

On the flip side there was a video of an off duty cop that got out a car in traffic and shot a bike thief point blank as it happened in front of him.

Makes me wonder if the UK cops are like flowers in comparison to forces elsewhere.
