Top end failure of some sort.
Likely piston rings gone but top end will need to come off for inspection of what has been damaged.
Could just need piston and rings, may need cylinder and / head too. ____________________ Current Bikes / Projects: 1999 Rieju RS1 50

Not seized, but top end failure of some sort.
You likely have little compression and the bike may be easier to push when in gear than it was before it went bang.
Needs top end taking off and inspecting before you start ordering anything.
You could do a compression test first if you want but it will probably just confirm that you have low compression... and that you need to take the top end off to see what the damage is.
Once you know what the damage is, you can then order any parts that need replacing ____________________ Current Bikes / Projects: 1999 Rieju RS1 50

And you may want to seriously consider the merits of throwing good money after bad. If you keep it, this wont be the last time you'll be posting in the Workshop section. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

To be fair, ad's for pretty much any 2 stroke usually have similar wording.
Small smokers abused by teenagers generally have 2 states of existence, 'just had top end rebuild' or 'just needs top end rebuild'
You gotta love a 2t
To the OP - exactly what damage did you find and what parts have you replaced?
Have you done a proper compression test?
Any pics? ____________________ Current Bikes / Projects: 1999 Rieju RS1 50

Any pics of the damage to the piston or head ? What have you replaced ? Are you still running the piston that 'has a ring melted' ?
Did it look anything like this:

Not nearly as bad as that, literally a tiny mark( 2-3 cm ), and i have a whole new piston and ring set in. |
