Advertised the GPZ500s as I now have sparkly GPX 750. First bloke, Brummy, thick accent thick head. Starts bike and says "Nah mate sounds like it's running on 2".

He was serious.

Next bloke 'Asian', "You know mate old bike mate, scratches mate, bandaged exhaust mate, is £500 any good mate"

Me "Yes mate if you put another £500 with it..." (Advertised for £1000).

Ending up selling it to a youngster (18?) for the full monies. I hate selling things.

This is exactly why I hate selling stuff and don`t do car boot sales
And as a result, I have a garage full of cack that I don`t need

I dont mind selling at fair price and I try to price things up cheap, however the number of chancers and sharks who still want more discount makes me want to punch them
I hate those predator types always looking to profit from some else`s need (ie me needing to sell stuff).

It's the ones who "know about bikes" that irk me. Then not knowing what a tyre manufacturing date is, let alone understanding that being on the original tyre shows that the bike must be low mileage.

Its the pushy once that boil my piss, a pal of mine had one recently, he had his bike up for 1200, guy offered 700, he was told no chance and the guy just kept pushing it.
The guy ended up on his street because he didn't turn the map thing off on scumtree phoning him constantly until he went out and had to threaten to ram his 700 sheets up his arse.

With my CBF, advertised for 1400, I got the following call: "I'm not going to mess you around, I'm in the Trade, wondered if you would take £700? That's what they go for at auction but you've got to be careful at auctions because some of them are dodgy".

I advised him to stick to auctions then, if such bargains can freely be had.

I sold it the next day, knocked 200 off because the young lad was polite enough to have a chat about bikes, and he looked thin.

We put a Robin Rialto up for sale on behalf of a family member and some clowns came round who clearly only wanted to buy it for a joke, offering £200 or so, when we said he'd rather scrap it than sell it for £200 they came back and brought their mate with them who they claimed was a scrap man.
