Just done my mod 2 in Wakefield, an area I don't know very well. Three minutes in and I'm on a road that FEELS like a 40 but I haven't seen a sign. No repeaters in view, street lights, so act like it's a 30 and hope for a minor. It was a 40, first minor straight off the bat. Bollocks.

Tried to put it behind me and cracked on, had a few other blips but knew none of them were serious. Got stuck behind 2 cars going 40 in the NSL part of the route but without a safe opportunity to pass I was content to sit there.

The start of the independent ride was also apparently both the angled start and hill start (REALLY slight hill) as that was the only time we pulled over during the test.

Turning back into the Silkwood estate is the longest set of lights I've ever seen, sat there for a good 5 minutes waiting to turn with no breaks in traffic.

Walked into the centre and shook my head at my instructor. 2 minutes later found out I'd passed, get in there!

Mod 1 was way harder than mod 2. Now to find a real bike and get rid of the Chinese Piece Of Shit (at least I think that's what it says on the V5) Smile
