Inline 4 pipes steaming - Suzuki Bandit Mk1 95

Does anyone know if these bikes take coolant or something?

Filled up the oil recently.

Because I sometimes see steam coming from the bike where the silver pipes are, nothing major, but definitely noticeable. From what I understand they're air cooled right? I do rev the nuts off of it, so that could be a factor.

I really don't know whether to laugh or cry at the lack of basic knowledge you have of your bike

It's an air/oil cooled bike!

The only way you'd get steam from the pipes is if the bike was wet when you started it ... if it's smoke then you probably have an oil leak (from the cooler).

as already been said, your bike is air/ oil cooled if you look above the silver pipes (exhaust manifold) you have an oil cooler

look around that for oil seepage etc

looks a tidy early bandit, has it been kept in a ziplock back or something?

Do you clean/wipe the bike over with anything? Could be burning off oily residue.

Could be tears from riding a Bandit.

Careful, they're salty, they'll corrode it.

oh the old silver pipes question eh?
well the air is moist and condensate can collect in your spigot flange, this is drained via a miller tube to the whin sprocket which drips onto the silvery tubes

Could be condensation or rain burning off if you park the bike outside overnight.

Otherwise, as mentioned, possibly oil leaking from somewhere.

Seriously though, you need to start learning about bikes - that's a woeful lack of knowledge.

Ignore what everyone's saying, it is water cooled just not very noticeable to the untrained eye.

The watercooler can be found within the power band. It's awkward to get to on the Bandit's, probably best taking it to a garage and asking them to look at the blue power bands cooling system.

Or it could just be that I'm splurting out bollocks and something is sitting on your exhaust and burning off when the bike's running and the exhaust system is hot. Oil or water most likely, hopefully it's just water/condensation or a cleaning product you've applied
