 |
|
Does anyone know if these bikes take coolant or something?
Filled up the oil recently.
Because I sometimes see steam coming from the bike where the silver pipes are, nothing major, but definitely noticeable. From what I understand they're air cooled right? I do rev the nuts off of it, so that could be a factor.

I really don't know whether to laugh or cry at the lack of basic knowledge you have of your bike
It's an air/oil cooled bike!
The only way you'd get steam from the pipes is if the bike was wet when you started it ... if it's smoke then you probably have an oil leak (from the cooler).
All the best ... Barry |

Could be tears from riding a Bandit.
Careful, they're salty, they'll corrode it. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

oh the old silver pipes question eh?
well the air is moist and condensate can collect in your spigot flange, this is drained via a miller tube to the whin sprocket which drips onto the silvery tubes ____________________ R1250RS

Could be condensation or rain burning off if you park the bike outside overnight.
Otherwise, as mentioned, possibly oil leaking from somewhere.
Seriously though, you need to start learning about bikes - that's a woeful lack of knowledge. ____________________ Suzuki Bandit 1250
