Ok, so it turns out the strikers amongst the 600 My Ferry Link staff have managed to be ignored by the Le Police (who are in the same Le Union).

Somehow this minor operator, in their grievance with their new employer (DFDS, after their former employer "Le Tunnel", were seen as illegal competition having a stake in both Calias crossing methods), they have been allowed to take their grievance to all other major cross channel providers, including shutting the tunnel and the major cross channel operators,

This has cost the UK economy £1 Billion so far, plus the cost of operation stack. So, a couple of hundred cheese eating surrender monkeys have inconvenienced hundreds of thousands of people who are nothing to do with their grievance and caused over a billion in losses and costs.

It would have been cheaper to pay ALL French employees of My Ferry Link, £1.6 Million each rather than let them f4ck the entire movement of cross channel goods and people.

The few morons have also trashed the 2 ferries who DFDS have offered to take on, with half the staff being retained. If I was DFDS, I'd sack the lot of em and employ from this side of the channel.

This is what our Friends across the channel have done to their new employers ships.. Would you employ them? (Or the Gallic shrug French police for that matter!).

I hope the supermarkets suffer.........in fact I hope any company that makes massive proffits but still pay staff NMW as a matter of course suffer. I bet the country would become a lot healthier if the supermarkets close down too.........plus the High Streets and town centres would come back to life and people start to communicate again.
