Technically, that's a broken leg rather than ankle.

And it's not "just" broken, it's really quite badly broken.

Make sure you do your physio, do all your physio and do it regularly, even if it hurts like fuck. If they haven't given you any to do, ask if they think they should.

I had a very similar fracture of my arm/wrist and didn't get/do physio properly and now I have 10% reduced range of movement in all directions. Hurts in the cold and damp, always will but physio wouldn't have fixed that.

Start watching balance boards on ebay for a bargain. You're going to need one in about 6-8 weeks.

So. Why you crash. Target fixation?

ENEMY ACTION.

You're a trouble magnet. Reverse polarity or it'll be the short sharp trip into a lamp-post for you. BAM, Kobayashi Maru.

Now. How much is the bike?

GWS op, well done on not getting splattered across the North Circ or mowed down by a Winnie.

More impressive than how I had a similarly (but not quite so bad as yours) broken ankle.
I got mine stepping over a very large sleeping dog (Newfoundland) on my way to the toilet and just put my
foot down funny trying not to step on the furry behemoth laid right across the doorway. Click. Ow! Fack!

I did that on a Friday evening and was convinced I'd only sprained it although it hurt like fuckitty fuck,
my whole foot and most of my calf was a nice plum purple after an hour or so and I went into shock a
bit and did a little shivering. I actually did it at a mates house during a lads night in, drove home on it the
next day because I was too stoned (and in pain) to drive home that night. Pressing the brake pedal in the
car was excruciating! Limped about on it all day Saturday and after a sleepless night because agony I eventually
went to hospital on the Sunday morning. Where I then learned it was broken. = 3 months in plaster.
Not cool, was a self employed van courier at the time. No sick pay.

Absolutely no weight on it allowed for the entire 3 months or it would have needed pins and plates.

I still have problems with mine when it's cold as well. I'm sure mine didn't heal right either. Didn't get
offered any physio except one short session when the cast came off. I get fewer issues if I wear ankle
high work boots all the time, they support it and keep it warm but my break was a little lower down than that.

Sorry to hear that, I hate any legs/feet related injuries. I had to use crutches for nearly 3 months, when I ripped some meat off from my leg. Lucky for you, bones heal rather quickly, unlike damaged/missing tissue. Thumbs Down

Time for some painkillers and crap loads of Tv, oh and get well soon, mate. Razz Thumbs Up

Thanks for the friendly replies, i am the guy who imported the gilera fx125 to UK
Cos £670 all together, i only took a picture on facebook chat for a friend but i remember that the right side panels were cracked and scraped but all of them was still on, front indicator missing and right mirror snapped( just got oroginals and the screen for £30)
my dad recovered it later on and said that the frame has bent becuse the wheel is not alighned anymore but i guess its the handle bars like twisted side ways and i am going to replace the forks anyway as bough a vx version second hand
hope just forks bent and it still starts
wont be using it for 2 months at least

Suppose to go to an EU sort of trip to do deliveries to Germany, Amsterdam and Denmark on the 20th but i guess my brother has to go instead

To the person asking I knew im going to come off that slip road to go to my destination but i guess my mind went off and I Came off too late and where it starts to turn a bit sharper it just went strsight and i locked both wheels ( Might be the moment i fucked up) and the bike tipped to the right slighly before hitting the kerb and sending me flying
i think this is the moment when my ankle got court beteen the kerb and the under the panel where i place my legs.

Havent slept for 2 nights due to the pain, painkillers help somewhat but thry cant feed me with it every 30 minutes.

Ambulance promised me tv well there is no tv i am in whittington hospital atm and wstching catch up tv on my phone
and talk to 2 people around me who are friendly
the 3rd is snoaring and the 4th is an old man probably suffering from dimensia who keeps getting up from bed and move about and talk to himslef all night

As to the nurses yes got about 3 nice chicks, someone took my headphones in the anesthetyc room and even promising to give it back forgot so the nurse lended me her 1 instead yaaay

Its sad as i cant work for the rest of the summer not able to try and pass my driving test again so peak times

Was wearing cargos and t shirt as it was got and pair of nike airforces
( i would look stupid eith a leather gear on a moped but it probably saved my lrg from brraking)

I will put pics in the next post

2 guys stopped for me both on scooters 1 was firearm other one was first aid something so if I had something serious they could have helped me out

I waited around 20 min for thr ambulance then once thry came i tried laughing gas for the 1st time
well its pretty imressivr as the effect comes straight after

As for my leg my doctor hoping that i wouldnt have excessive wear or stifnesd or long term pain or infrction or bla bla the list is too long

Will have to get some morphine for home:D

Heal as fast as you can, but that leg looks properly mullered. Might start wanting to shop for a peg and a parrot.

Inb4 buy some proper boots.
That break may well have been less severe if you had.

I went down on my mate's MZ, wearing boots and motorcycle trousers with the knee protection and the only injuries were bruises and a bit swollen knee, that got alright in a week. Looking at your scooter I can tell, you were not going that fast.
