Hi guys. I'm a 15 year old from Norway. I'm pretty new to this forum, in fact i just registered
In Norway you can get a license called A1 when you're 16. This license allows you to ride a bike up to 125cc, but you can start riding for practice when you're 15, if you have someone who has had the license for at least 5 years with you.
A friend and I are both taking this license, and we will probably buy the same bikes.
I have been thinking a lot about the Honda Varadero 125 and the Derbi Terra (not the Adventure version), but I just can't decide wich one i want more than the other. So of course i turned to a forum for help. So here's some info: I live in the western part of Norway, in a rural region. There are some dirt roads and gravel. The scenery where we live is great. There are a lot of hills.
We will be going on a so called "road trip", to either the northern parts of Norway, or to the south, like Germany and the Netherlands.
I've heard you really have to work the gears on the Derbi. Is this true?
Feel free to suggest other Bikes or Routes, I'm happy with all responses

They're both decent choices. It really depends on whether you can find a good example of either of them in your budget, and whether you can easily get parts. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
