Are there any bikes you'd love to ride but not own for any reasons such as documented flaws, costs etc

I'd love to have a 916 for a day, or maybe a KTM RC8

I'd have to say owning a 916 has been a breeze so far, no worse than any other Ducati I've owned.

I'd go for a Norton, either brand spanker, or a 70's jobby just to see how they used to ride.. I suspect they ran like sh!t compared to modern stuff, but they're as cool as polar bear p!ss ....

You don't own an Italian Motorcycle... you merely pay for the privileged of its upkeep.....Somewhere along the line I fucked up.. I used to really enjoy NOT paying for the privilege of upkeeping a Morini, a Guzzi, a Ducati & an MV.... I really enjoyed riding... NOW I pay for the upkeep of a bluddi guzzi I DON'T really want to ride

I'd like to have a go at speedway... its something I have never tried... and of course there's doing Route 66 sort of romantic dreams, and for that one, doing the full on American Experience.. well, I couldn't bring myself to do it on a Hardley.. so would have to be a 1948 Indian Chief... preferably in DuPont Yellow.... but even that's a bit hackneyed now...

So ultimately I don't think, though there are many bikes I would REALLY like to ride and not own.. I mean.. the idea of taking a Two-Stroke 500 GP bike out on a track for an hour, would probably be the 'ultimate' for me... BUT.. either I'd get on and be so bludy terrified as to not even dare riding the damn thing, (Biker law; you bend it; you mend it... and I REALLY wouldn't fancy footing the bill for scratching one of them!) or so disillusioned with my own mediocrity that I couldn't do the thing justice, OR I'd be so distraught at the idea of giving it back at the end, and that nothing else would ever compare to it, I'd be a gibbering wreck... So some things are best left as 'fantasy', I think.

Think I'll go with a Speedway bike then... I DID have a chance to try it about 20 years ago; a 'boys night out' at Hall-Green, brum, next to the factory I worked in... but I 'gave in' to my mother nagging me to go to a 'Family Do' instead!

Possibly Z1300 as it'd probably be too heavy for a weakling!

Would like to ride an NSR250 MC28, but they are too small to be comfortable on, as would be the beautiful TZR250 3XV etc.

I'd like to ride every trick Italian 125cc and 200cc dirtbike, sports road bike or supermoto etc, but Owning them would be a world of pain and NLA results to all your parts enquirys.

Can't tar all British bikes as crap, but most were.



Anyway, back OT; I'd want a go of all the MotoGP bikes, Moto2 and Moto3.
Then the WSB and BSB bikes.
