Got the daytona listed on the bay at 3k, getting so many cunts offering me 2-2.5k, is this the norm these days.

It's the cheapest 675 on there, maybe I've signed my own death warrant listing it at a sensible price. Seems every poor man on the planet wants to make an offer but no fucker wants a viewing..

Maybe I should just keep it

Can't blame them for trying, they've only got to get lucky once.

Had it myself loads of times, yes it's frustrating. I'm sure it'll go for good money eventually. Thumbs Up

It's the ease of contact afforded by the net.

My last bike I sold I was inundated with stupid offers despite undercutting every comparable bike.

Sold eventually.

yup, absolutely normal, I listed my 2008 R1 as the cheapest on eBay, and even said in the listing, no silly offers etc and still, they roll in.

Just ignore them or tell them that's WAY too low.

Keep plugging away pal, the right offer will turn up.

I've had it too, you'll get it sold to someone don't worry. Just ignore the offers if they annoy you.

I had a fair old to-and-fro ebay message conversation when I was selling my Mille R at £2750 (about £250 cheaper than anyone else at the time), with some bloke who was making out he was doing me a favour offering me something daft like £2100. "Oh well it'll need this doing, and that doing, and this doing" without even looking at it.

I should've just not replied. Ended up selling in the end for £50 less than the asking price to a decent bloke Thumbs Up

I also had someone else offer me a daft price on it, then try and force me to accept saying they were about to go see one a bit cheaper, better spec (and likeley made-up) etc. I told them the one they were about to see sounded a smashing deal and they should go for it. They contacted me a week later asking if mine was still for sale Laughing

Yep happens all the time, you'll get some mad offers, i generally ignore the really silly ones and only reply nicely to the ones close to what i want.

Patience is key...it will sell, eventually.

I found your bike on eBay earlier, I was so tempted to send a silly offer.

If this is your advert:
Quote:
On 28-Jun-15 at 12:38:49 BST, seller added the following information:
Reduced to £3200 - this is a reflection of mileage on the bike when compared to other listings. I've also seen the bike I want to purchase now so need to move this bike on.

Final Reduction - I've aquired my replacement now so grab a bargain, no sensible offer refused!

I wonder if potential buyers have seen that and smelt blood, thinking that you're desperate to sell? Might be worth removing it if you can?

Anyone who asks a stupid question on eBay gets put on my blocked bidders list. There are many more stupid people on facebook to block!

"I can't afford £40, what's your very lowest price?"

"£40 The world's smallest violin player, just for you!"

Always best to un-tick the 'Add Best Offer' box, because when people see that, they assume you are desparate enough to give it away and try their luck with a silly bid.

Doesn't stop 'em using the 'Ask Seller a Question' option, but I always answer the same way...

Q "Will you take 5 ponds for it?"
A "No, but if you can find 2 for that price, I will buy them both and give you one of them for nothing."

Advertise it over priced, they pay a little less, you get what you want, they think they got a bargain , win, win.

When selling my FMX on Gumtree for £2k I had a message offering £1400, emailed back saying my lowest price of £1800 and the chap said okay, came round within the hour and bought it, many people will try a cheeky first offer (the only way is up) but serious buyers will raise their offers if the advertised price is fair and the bike is as stated, moral of the story is its always worth at least one message back to a low bidder, you never know Smile

Not sold much on the bay but when I did I set the bid start at zero and set a minimum to sell. Seemed to do the trick and I got what I classed as a fair price for it.
