I reckon that the positioning in the first pic is the most aesthetic. If, however, you're planning on using cable ties as permanent fixings then the second option would be preferable.
As far as effectiveness goes, I doubt there'd be any difference between the two options.

I'd probably make some sort of bracket that bolts to the bottom yoke and position them in there, but I would have to say out of the two places you've mentioned, I would go above indicators.

After a sleepless night thinking which position would be best suited for the spotlights I got thinking about fitting a HIDS they look much better.

I've never had a problem with my fazer lights is it a well known issue on the older model?

are those LEDs
having them so close to the indicators may mean that no-one can see the indicator flashing.
I know I'm getting on a bit any my eyes are probably going, but I find with some modern car headlights, with daytime LEDs you cant see the front indicator as there is too much light from the very bright LEDs, think some manufacturers now automatically dim or switch off the LEDs when the indicator is activated (probably German manufacturers, which is a bit pointless as drivers of those cars never use indicators anyway )

I ordered 4300K as I understand this is best for all out visibility and a T10 4300K position light.

For an extra €15.00 there is a 'XB35' 4300K?

So 4300K vs XB35 4300K difference? I have emailed about this awaiting a reply.

Also I am now looking for spotlights with a switch to mount on the handle bars for super seeing power as I have read HIDS don't like being flashed.
