It appears at some point my Scottoiler "delivery" end has met my sprocket, argued and lost the fight.

I can get the clear tubing from B&Q, but does anyone know where I can get the vacuum tubing from (other than Scottoiler themselves, as it's relatively expensive).

Thanks

It's standard (albeit unusually thin) nylon pneumatic hose. It's usually used for pneumatic control circuits.

If it's just for the delivery end, I'd suggest the straw off a WD40/chainlube can...

Hmm I'd go to my local bike parts shop, but failing that maybe a motor factors would have some.

Edit: since it's standard pneumatic tube, if it was me I'd try my luck at the hydraulics place down the road - all types of hose available from them.

If it's somewhere that makes pneumatic control circuits, they'll have offcuts long enough to make scotoiler delivery tubes lying around on the workshop floor all over the place.

My Dads old company built pneumatic lifting equipment and we used to go through miles of the stuff, you wouldn't have bothered putting a bit of hose less than 6" long back on the shelf.

<sarcasm>Gee, thanks, I didn't think to look there. Rolling Eyes </sarcasm>

List a specific item if you've found one otherwise they're all 3mm ID.

Ah, my apologies, didn't notice the OD bit and didn't recall the Scottoiler requiring an OD rather ID specific pipe for it's vacuum tube.

So, to continue on the theme Smile...

Not the same.

Simple painless solution is to contact Scotoiler (like as was said ages ago but ignored by the OP).

As what?

I have fish tanks with multiple air-stones and air pumps. The clear tubing (that is in the tank) gets very hard and is a thing I have replaced regularly.
I have Scotoilers on three bikes and I haven't had to replace the tubing due to it getting hard.
Some tubing is Vinyl and some is Silicone it all 'looks' the same but different properties.
You can get a roll of the supply tubing from SO for about a £5 and the delivery tubing is £3
The Black Injector tubing that 'almost' touches the sprocket (which looks like Nylon Pneumatic/Hydraulic hose/pipe) £3
Last time I bought a roll of fish tank tubing I think it was about a 5-er.

Scotoiler are very helpful and have always did me favours. They support their product.
Just sayin', rather than phaph for a month call the OEM and ask. Karma

OP stated this in the first post. Yes I could just buy it from Scotoiler, but it's extortionate. It's the same reason I don't use their oil.

I'd love to support businesses but not at any cost. There a recession on you know! Wink
