When I rev my bike (ZXR4), as the revs die down it's to around 2K-2K and idles there for a about 5 seconds before settling at 1500. The throttle cable doesn't seem to be sticking.
(Don't know if this is linked to the fact my top end needs work or not?)
Any ideas? |

Heya flip
I have a ZXR4, and it had similar problems. Got a ratchet and some sockets? whip that tank up, take the air filter box off, and pop your finger down each of the carb chokes, and lift the needle slide up, then take your finger out and allow the slide to drop. Do this on each of the carbs, and if one of them moves very easily, and falls back faster then the others your looking at a split diaphragm in the carb. These are pricey, but il give you an address to get them much cheaper.
Hope that helps, its all I can thing of that would cause a problem like that. Youl probably notice flat spots in the power at higher revs if that is the cause |

Scotsman. Will give the cable a squirt just in case.
Blueninja. I'll be taking the tank in a day or two anyway, so I'll take a look then.
Thanks fellas |

I had the same problem with my ZXR750. Turned out to be a combination of bungs and a few other bits that needs replacing. Sorry I can't be more specific, I can't remember |

So the top end plus this... Sounds expensive Hopefully when I get them done, the engine will be sweet.
Is this plus a noisy top end likely to cause a breakdown? |
