I have a 40" Samsung TV which developed a problem with colours. Did some research, found its the T-Con board, stripped TV, ordered correct board, fitted board and it's now even worse.

Does anybody have any experience with these things? Seemed like a simple installation, one input cable, two output ribbon cables.

Not sure if I'm been daft of if I've been sold a dodgy board.

what happens if you put the old board back in, does it go back to how it was.

*wild guess*
Maybe you need to do some kind of calibration or set up on it

The photo is with the new board in. There's nothing in the TV setting to calibrate, aside from the normal brightness, contrast etc.

It looks as though the ribbon cables are in the wrong place, so the colours are mixing, but I've tried moving them around and they'll only sit in one place.

my old sony bravia had a hidden engineer menu, i had to use it once to adjust something to fix an issue with xbox 360 compatibility.

you had to do some "up down left right a b c hold start" type shit on the remote to access it.

I did manage to get the service menu up but didn't have time to play with it properly before I had to go to work. I'll have another go tomorrow.

Post 10 mentions no change after a Tcon board change.
