EE contract on my spaka phone is coming to an end so I need to upgrade I am with EE but they are pricks and all the new deals are double of what I now pay so i am looking elsewhere. Carphone Warehouse have a few offers that seem ok.....Microsoft Lumia 435 for £7.50 a month but only 250 meg of internet or Samsung Galaxy Ace for the same deal. I do not use my phone for more than half an hour a month and send less than 50 texts I take it I can use wifi to download as well as 3G. Recommendations please Windows or Android?

All I have to say is DON'T buy a windows phone. The OS is dreadful and the platform wasn't well-adopted by app developers. In contrast, the Android system is thoroughly supported by independent app development, if you can think of it there's a good chance you'll find an app.

I agree, I have a 7" Windows tablet and I always pick up my Android in preference.

I'm going to Saintsbury's I think.

£12/month, 2gb data, 800 mins, 5000 texts, and runs off Vodafone.

Can you link to that please, I can't find it.

I bought a Oneplus One outright, 64GB model.

Best phone I've ever had, and half the price of anything it can be compared with.

The prices are likely to go down as the oneplus two is released.

I have about a month left on my old contract, how do I go about retaining my number with a new service supplier?

Phone your provider and ask for a PAC code (port account code). Or you can do it when you sign up to a new provider - they cannot refuse to port it.

+1
Just a brilliant all round phone, you need big hands though!

I'm also looking for a new phone, however I'd probably use it a little more than yourself. I'm thinking of getting a second hand Samsung Galaxy S5 (about £180-£200 on eBay) purely because of the removable battery which might be something to consider as they all seem to degrade over time.

Personally I'd steer well clear of vodafone but whatever works for you and all that jazz. EE & Vodafone are the most over-hyped networks going and vodafone have been on the decline for a few years now.

For me, three works out hands down to be the best deal. May be worth checking out their monthly sims etc Thumbs Up

Check moneysavingexpert for deals, I went on there when I was due an upgrade and got an iPhone 6, 64GB with 4GB of data and unlimited everything else for £39/month using EE network. The closest EE themselves could come for this price was the 16GB model with 750mb of data and no 4G. Hmm.
