Hi,

Just check out the big four dealerships in your area, thier websites generally have stock. Look out for trade tours, my mate was down a Suzuki tour the other week, they had 5 bikes you could test drive on the day..

Go with op

It all started so well Sad

I'm interested as to why you think you'd manage riding a motorbike that isn't a sports bike, what difference does it make if its a sports bike or not, the bike only goes as fast as you tell it to (if your worried about staying in control) and on any bike you're always going to be twisting your wrist and hand with the throttle, no?

Well the reason for it is that the weight leaning forward whilst I ride (drive) whatever on my hand is to great. So maybe a tourer or something different won't have the same affect.

have your imaginary op.
see how much use you have in the hand(you havent said which one of the three it is)
then pick your imaginary bike accordingly.

I haven't ridden a sports bike so cannot comment hence my genuine interest as to what would differ between bikes. I was aware that riding a sports bike required some body fitness due to hunched over position. I'll help you out, I'll swap you my chinky 125 for your GXSR 1000 (and then remove the label and write "fireblade" on the plastics) after I've passed my Module 2.

Deal?

If you're riding a sports bike with weight on your wrists, you're riding it wrong. All the weight should be on your quads and lower back.

Why not look at a handlebar conversion for your bike if you wish to sit more upright?

For what it's worth, I broke my wrist a few years ago and have ongoing issues. I can't push a door open with my right hand with my palm against the door. But I can ride a sports bike with no wrist issues at all. Just keep all the weight off the bars. You should be able to control and ride the bike on each bar with your thumb and index finger, if you can't, you need to hold on tighter with your bottom half.

if you are not going to put any effort into your fabricated back story
how can we pick holes in it?
you could have just asked for bike shops in your area.
but you had to have a disability(gsxr) and a hand operation.
