so i did my usual routine this morning of getting kitted up and leaving bike for a few mins whilst kitting up to warm up.

i was in a bit of a rush but not much more than normal, nothing crazy like redlining it but maybe up to 8-9k uphill for the first couple of mins.

came to a stop at top of hill and at idle the bike sounded like it was revving like it would be around 10-15mph and could feel the engine alot more, didnt get a chance to look down at rpm at idle

any ideas why this happened or what happened?

Left the choke on?

Could just start bike, pop gloves and lid on then ride off gently for a few miles rather than leaving it to warm up.

bike doesnt have a choke, it is just a measly cbr125 Rolling Eyes Laughing

it only did it for the first few mins and it has never done it before, after a few mins it was running as normal but during the first few minutes the engine was surging for some reason after the hill run

Auto-choke was still on i'm guessing!

It will have a choke. I'm pretty sure all Fuel Injected bikes have an automatic choke whilst Carb'd bikes will have a manual lever to pull out.

A couple of things to check - faulty IAT, MAF or O2 sensors.

More likely to be a sticking choke, low coolant level, inlet air leak or dirty air filter.

It does it occasionally if you ride in high revs with he automatic choke on. Nothing to worry about! Thumbs Up
