Feedback Required - Stolen Vehicle Recovery

Hello, I'm working on a project and would like feedback from bikers as to what they ideally would like to see in a product that could include:

Stolen Vehicle Recovery (monitored & tracked by Secure Operating Centre, with Police liaison for recovery if stolen)
Engine Cut - (On Police command)
Rider Card Identification - (No card present/Alert generated)
Movement without ignition monitoring.
Connected Bike - (diagnostics, telematics etc)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and treated in complete confidence. If there are other features of Security or connectivity you would like to see as Standard fit or Aftermarket fit please let me know also.

What are you proposing that's not already provided by the various solutions that are already on the market?

I ask because the only tracker that I've ever seen any positive outcomes from is BikeTrac.

The important part is that they appear to liaise effectively with Dibble and make the process easy and straightforward enough that they actually bother with recovery. Given the appalling lack of fu​cks given that we see reported over and over again, I'd question the effectiveness of any device that just tells the owner "HALP I'MA BIN STOLED!!!!"

Put simply: how's your relationship with the vehicle and specifically motorcycle theft units in all the UK police forces?

If the answer is "yeah, yeah, I'll work on that once I've done the engineering" then you're likely just wasting your time and ours.

Understand that there are other products out in the marketplace, but what I wanted (and not to waste your time) was to find out what the biker marketplace would like to see developed on top of the "Stolen Vehicle Recovery".

We already manufacture CAT5 & CAT 6 products for OE/Aftermarket and can provide via our own "secure operating centre" FULL police support across UK/Europe & USA.

So on top of this if our product could provide you with additional functionality (not just battery low warning), what would you require, what would be of benefit for you?

But I question whether you're from Vodafone simply because reputable companies pay the people who help with their research which is pretty different from you spamming some internet forum. And they use well written, specific questions whilst you've posted some very vague, catch all type questions.

I assume you're working for a company on behalf of Vodafone Automotive rather than being an in house researcher at Vodafone?

If all your research is worth to vodafone is a few spammy posts on internet forums then it seems Cobra was a bad investment for Vodafone.

1. A device that can't be detected with a mobile phone app, and disabled with a £10 gadget off alibaba.com

2. Police will never take responsibility for the consequences of this.

3. RFID, BlueTooth and NFC solutions already available cheaply.

4. Already a feature of most alarm systems.

5. Never going to happen unless manufacturers release their proprietory code - not all bikes are OBDII compliant.

Would this be charged? The police already hold our vehicles for ransom, would purchasing this system provide a "lifetime membership" or subscription?

Wouldn't be too happy for this. What if it went wrong and cut out mid corner? Would your company take responsibility for the occurrence and pay my loved ones 5 million dollars in reparations?

I'd be excited for this. Providing it was part of the key and somehow combined with the ignition

Yes. Providing the data cannot be given to the rozzers. In the event of a collision I wouldn't want my history of riding 10 minutes earlier to give a false account of what happened at that moment of the incident.
